If you didn’t get to see a live performance of “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” at the Pantages Theatre, you can listen to the full version at 7 tonight on Minnesota Public Radio’s 99.5 classical station. “All is Calm,” a musical theater piece created by Theatre Latte Da and Cantus, has been receiving rave reviews for the story of how enemy soldiers put their guns down one Christmas during World War I. The singing is said to be heavenly; the story quite moving. MinnPost writer Ed Huyck’s review is here.
