It just goes to show that I should have read the entire four-page list of Edgar nominees before posting Friday about newcomer author Julie Kramer‘s “Stalking Susan” making the Mary Higgins Clark category.

Three other familiar Minnesotans are among the finalists for the coveted Edgar Allan Poe awards:

Joel and Ethan Coen for best motion picture screenplay for “Burn After Reading,” starring George Clooney, Frances McDormand and Brad Pitt.

Jeffrey Hatcher for best play for his adaptation of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” which is currently on stage at the Park Square Theatre in St. Paul.
