SPCO’s 2009-10 season: Stravinsky festival, Schumann anniversary and reunions galore

So much to look forward to during the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s 2009-2010 season: a three-week Stravinsky festival that includes a collaboration with the Minnesota Orchestra; a celebration honoring the 200th anniversary of Schumann’s birth with artistic partners Roberto Abbado and Christian Zacharias (new to the SPCO); reunions with former music director Dennis Russell Davies and former artistic partner Joshua Bell; a world premiere of work by Alberto Iglesias featuring soprano Dawn Upshaw (also an artistic partner), and a preview with future artistic partner Edo de Waart.
