There’s a grand opening Saturday for a new park in St. Anthony that combines art and nature.

The Three Rivers Park District will unveil Silverwood Park on Silver Lake with a day-long celebration of the regional center for the arts and the environment. They say it’s “devoted to the integration of nature-based experiences and artistic creation.”

Park officials also say this about the new park:

“In addition to creating nature-inspired art through naturalist/artist-led programs, visitors will enjoy perusing the professional art gallery, attending performances at the outdoor amphitheater, and exploring a paved trail that meanders through mature white oak forests, natural grasslands and past stunning lakeshore vistas during the grand opening festivities.”
