‘Pa’s Hat: Liberian Legacy’ to premiere at Pillsbury House

The Pillsbury House Theatre presents a world premiere by Cori Thomas and directed by Marion McClinton, opening this Friday.

In “Pa’s Hat: Liberian Legacy,” a young American woman accompanies her elderly father on a trip to his homeland, Liberia. While there, they find themselves imprisoned by the 14-year-old leader of the Liberian army.

The show’s cast includes Ansa Akyea, Namir Smallwood, Regina Marie Williams and Bruce A. Young.

“Pa’s Hat: Liberian Legacy” runs Friday through June 27 at the Pillsbury House Theatre, 3501 Chicago Ave. S., Minneapolis. There will be post-show discussions on June 4, June 9, June 11, June 19 and June 23. Tickets are $10 to $20. For information and tickets, call 612-825-0459 or visit online.
