Workhouse makes changes, readies new shows

North Minneapolis’ Workhouse Theater has made some changes on the eve of the company’s seventh season. The biggest is that founding artistic director Jeff Redman has moved on from the company to concentrate on New Actor’s Playhouse, an educational theater camp for elementary-school students.

Christopher Tibbetts joins the company as the artist director, having directed several past productions for Workhouse, including “Housein” and “No Exit.”

The upcoming season includes “Proof,” by David Auburn, Oct. 7-2; and “Sylvia,” by A.R. Gurney, May 5-22.

The Shakespeare potlucks and readings continue through the year. Working with the Minnesota Shakespeare Company, Workhouse will present events on Nov. 21, Feb. 20 and April 10.
