Steel and ice are among the media and subjects you’ll find showcased at this weekend’s Art Attack in the Northrup King Building complex in northeast Minneapolis.

Some 200 visual artists will open their studios to the public. Highlights of the weekend include:

Chamber of Steel: On the fourth floor, Magnetic Poetry inventor Dave Kapell has created a Chamber of Steel in Studio 459, where, organizers say, “every wall and even the ceiling, is made of raw, galvanized steel. … Each surface is covered in word magnets of various sizes, themes and languages, begging to be arranged into some semblance of poetic order and/or absurdity. Dave will photograph and live blog individual’s poems to the MagPo website in real time.”

Ice in nature: The beauty of ice in nature will be featured in a multi-artist, multimedia special gallery exhibition on the third floor (Studio 332). Among the artists and scientists whose work will be included are Scott Lloyd Anderson, Ginger Shafer, Kathleen Richert, Michael Tondor, Pam Arnold, Erika Mock, Forrest M. Mims III,  Stuart Klipper, Natasha D’Schommer, Orton Tofte, Steve Kotvis, Don Davison, Dave Berryman, Martha Schull Archer, Terry McDaniel, Erika Mock, Ann Schley, Rob Nopola and Travis Novitsky.
