On this Veterans Day

And young men, immortal in their minds, dream of glory.
Old men, another year past, realize how much of life their comrades lost,
While far away, as always, others yearn for home.

MinnPost writer David Hawley was drafted in 1969, served two years in the Army and is a disabled veteran.

Very nice. Please publish more poetry. We need words that help us slow down and reflect during tumultuous times like these.
