If you have friends in either of these clubs, maybe they’ll let you drop by their next meeting.

October’s prize drawings will be different — oriented to the eyes rather than the stomach.

On five consecutive dates starting Monday Oct. 5, we’ll randomly choose a winner from the BCC list of 80+ registered clubs.

The five winning clubs will each receive a signed copy of photographer Ian Shive’s new coffee table book, The National Parks: Our American Landscape. Value $40.

Ian will be at Mall of America on Sunday, Oct. 11 signing books for those folks who don’t win a signed copy from us.

How can a dozen or so club members share one beautiful book? Here’s a thought:

Members can draw straws to see who keeps the book — or gets to give it as a holiday present to a favorite parks lover. The winner of the book has to bring the wine for the next meeting.

Maybe you have a better idea.
