No Guilt Book Club wins ‘Great Conversations’ tickets

A new St. Paul book club is the lucky winner of tickets to “Great Conversations” on Tuesday, April 20.

A new book club — 10 women who meet in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul — is the lucky winner of tickets to “Great Conversations: The Transformative Power of Art” on Tuesday, April 20, 7:30 pm at Ted Mann Concert Hall.

The conversation will feature two people with lots in common to talk about: screenwriter/novelist Rafael Yglesias and U of M professor/writer-about-film Madelon Sprengnether. A dessert reception with the speakers follows the conversation.

A little info about the winning club:

It’s called The Eat, Drink & Read (or not) No Guilt Book Club. The group meets six times a year with the host choosing the book. So far they’ve read “The Awakening” by Kate Chopin and “When Engulfed in Flames” by David Sedaris. Their interests are wide-ranging — or, as the captain says, “Anything goes!”
