Julie Kramer, Larry Moore – the final chapter?

Close readers of MinnPost may recall that we auctioned off a character name in Julie Kramer’s next thriller way back in December.

The book, Silencing Sam, is just hitting bookstores — so it’s a good time to tie up loose ends.

The high bidder, MinnPost member Jennifer Turrentine, told us she bought this as a holiday gift for a long-time friend who shares her love of reading and love of thrillers. The friend, Larry Moore, was delighted to be a character in what promises to be another bestseller.

Julie’s husband, MinnPost journalist Joe Kimball, tells us that the “Larry Moore character is a sheriff’s deputy, canine cop with bomb sniffing dog who — as part of a sub-plot — helps investigate the bombings of wind turbines in southern Minnesota. And he gives Riley [a TV journalist who is Julie’s featured sleuth] a key clue in finding the bombers.”

Thanks again to Julie for helping MinnPost raise money in this way and to everyone else involved.
