2010 Movies based on books – Part 1

It’s always entertaining for a book club to see an adaptation — whether it be a movie, a play, or an opera — of a recently-finished book. Readers may criticize or praise the adaptation, but either way, your group is sure to have a stimulating discussion.

Every year, a slew of books in numerous genres — including popular fiction, classics, thriller, mystery, young adult, and children’s — are released as films. Here, for your enjoyment, is a guide to books released as films in the U.S. over the past year.

Today’s guide focuses on books aimed at adult or young adult audiences. Tomorrow, I’ll post a guide to 2010 movies based on children’s books.
