Pot-heads, this one’s for you.
Books & Bars — the hugely popular Twin Cities book club moderated by Jeff Kamin — has designated its upcoming meeting date “Harry Potter Day.”
Just three days before the highly-anticipated release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II,” Books & Bars members will tackle not one — not two — not three — but all seven books in the “Harry Potter” series.
“This is it,” said Kamin on Facebook. “This is really happening. This is our pre-‘Return of the Jedi’ opening-day moment.”
If you haven’t attended Books & Bars before, the experience is that of a book-discussion-meets-improv show — an entertaining evening of literary conversation, bawdy jokes and booze.
Next week’s meeting at Aster Cafe — which Kamin dubbed “a non-Muggle event” — promises to be even more lively and magical than usual.
The book group, which usually numbers 80-100 at any given meeting, is sure to swell for this special event, so make reservations and arrive early to partake in butterbeer, trivia, the sorting hat and more.
“You’ll feel like a student at Hogwarts!” Kamin assures.
Costumes are admired, not required, but go on, wear your house colors! And be prepared to take your O.W.L.s.
No word yet on whether there will be pumpkin juice, cockroach clusters, or cauldron cakes…
