Earlier this morning, I listed a few doubts about an AP story claiming Paul McKim — who filed a lawsuit against a Norm Coleman payment for improper cash diversions — was a GOP contributor.
Turns out my fears were justified. AP has now corrected its original story. Upon further checking, it turns out the “Paul A. McKim” who contributed $650 to three GOP congresspeople is not the Texas lawsuit plaintiff.
Where we stand now: The lawsuit’s Paul McKim has no confirmed record of federal political giving, so for now, we can’t link him to any party.
