Arne Carlson’s Obama endorsement — interesting, but what about the Senate?

Ok, I admit, it’s newsworthy when a former Republican governor endorses a Democratic presidential candidate. But Arne Carlson never was a McCain 2.0-Palin Republican.

The more interesting question is: who does Arne like in the Senate race? Norm’s not wildly different from Arne in his gubernatorial years, and Barkley might be the sort of independent Carlson’s clearly become. But has Arne — who some indicated was in the DFL U.S. Senate mix this year — swung so far to the left he’d conceivably support Franken?

That’s what I’d like to know.
