Updated: Do editorial boards hate Al Franken? (Strib, PiPress pick Norm)

Al Franken’s daily-paper endorsement skunking continues. Both the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press will pick Norm Coleman in their Sunday editions. (Hat tip: a gleeful Minnesota Democrats Exposed.)

Here’s the updated daily-paper endorsement roll — no links yet on the Strib and PiPress. By the way, this list will make a terrific ad for Norm:

Norm Coleman
Star Tribune
Pioneer Press
Forum Communications (Duluth News-Tribune, West Central Tribune, Bemidji Pioneer, Fargo-Moorhead Forum and others)
Albert Lea Tribune
Marshall Independent
McLeod County Chronicle

Dean Barkley
Minnesota Daily

Al Franken — no dailies yet.

Still to weigh in: papers in Rochester, St. Cloud, Mankato and Winona, among others.

(Note: I originally credited ECM Publications — Mille Lacs County Times, Morrison County Record and others — to Norm’s column. Even though they did endorse Coleman, they don’t publish dailies.)

The dying paper dailies know who they can depend on when their businesses continue to fail.
