Several years ago when I was a KSTP-AM radio host, I managed to kill a morning by asking what Bible verse should replace then then-ubquitous “John 3:16” at sporting events. It was a terrific discussion and the rare one that got my liberal fans and KSTP’s conservative listenership talking to, not past, each other.
I was thinking of this today noting all the “Psalm 2” coverage. If nothing else, these folks got their favorite Bible passage on everyone’s pages and screens. Which seems somehow wrong, if understandable on the media’s part.
I’m thinking maybe the best way to respond is fight hellfire with fire. I’m not much of a Biblical scholar, but I’m wondering what passage you would offer as the best Bible rebuke to what these schmucks have done? Old Testament or New is fine.
