Makes the weaselly report on Greta Van Susteren’s Friday show look silly (haven’t found video yet) and of course, the legendary Hannity-Pawlenty rant look laughble instead of infuriating.
Although I’ll hopefully move on to other topics this week, it will be interesting to see whether the diehards continue to trot out the tale.
I can’t help but think of Pawlenty yelling “FIRE” in a crowded theater, and then after the panicked stampede has begun, saying “just kidding” or “ah, it was only a cigarette lighter” as if that made it all better.
I agree with Chris. I think the Guv often gets credit from too many people for appearing reasonable, even though he only does so once his previous unreasonable statements are debunked by people like David.
