The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press says the St. Paul City Attorney has reviewed 35 citations given journalists during the Republican National Convention and “dropped every one.”
This makes good on a promise St. Paul City Hall following a controversial policing stategy that resulted in 46 detained journalists, says RCFP, quoting Minnesota Independent estimates.
According to RCFP, City Attorney John Choi believes there are more journalists out there who can have charges dropped. You’re eligible if you were charged with unlawful assembly and have “no other specific allegations.
