Michele Bachmann, Twitterpunk’d

According to Fox News, the “Twitterjacking” victim was actually Alaska Republican Congressman Don Young, who doesn’t use the short messaging service.

But apparently the ersatz Young tweeted that Bachmann was preparing to introduce articles of impeachment against Barack Obama. She hasn’t done that … yet.

Has she?

I’m 28 and I have no idea what hell David is writing about. I see Rep. Bachmann and I think I should be offended but I really don’t know what to think….

Sounds like you were twitterpunked, David, if you were hooked by a fake story via twitter. Using it to take a whack at Bachmann for something she wasn’t even remotely involved in is a stretch, even for you.

Joe – you’re 28 man, get with this Twitter thing. I mean, we geezers have an excuse!

Margaret – are you calling the Fox story fake? Perish the thought, but any fair reader can see the separation of fact (Young’s Twitter identity theft buttressed by a plausible-sounding Bachmann joke) from fiction.

And yes, I take a little jab at Michele’s recent utterances making something even this phony convincing. I think most readers understand this, and hopefully now that I’ve explained the joke, I can get a little smile?

Just like a successful political party, I’m a big tent, guy, Tom. The highs and the lows, the humorless and the thick-skinned. Cheers!
