Turning empty newspaper boxes into flowerboxes

A one-stone, two-bird beautification solution.

Stumbled across this image a few days ago and it’s stuck in my mind, so I thought I’d share it.

It’s the work of Toronto street artist Posterchild Bill, who documents the whole process here.

Even though I’m a journalist, I hate crappy, infrequently maintained newspaper boxes, especially for publications that are little more than ad circulars. This is a nice one-stone, two-bird beautification solution.

Given print’s general direction, there will probably be a lot more opportunities to work in this medium.
