City Pages hires reporter Lussenhop

A year ago, I couldn’t keep up with the layoffs, and now, I can’t keep up with the hiring. This time, it’s City Pages, which brought in reporter Jessica Lussenhop to replace Emily Kaiser, who left earlier this summer for D.C. alt-weekly City Paper.

Like editor Kevin Hoffman and writers Erin Carlyle and Nick Pinto, Lussenhop is a Columbia University j-school alum. The news reporting crew also includes Andy Mannix, who somehow made it in despite doing his journalism work at the University of Minnesota. (By the way, Mannix serves up a great investigative read in CP this week.)

Lussenhop, a St. Paul native, arrives here after alt-weekly stints in Northern California. Here are some clips from the Santa Cruz Weekly.

I’m pretty sure this is her Twitter profile; were I a potential story subject, I’d find it fairly frightening.

I’m guessing you have the right Twitter account, since it’s now been changed to “private”

    Rick,

Her tweets were protected in the Aug. 3 Google cache. I’m assuming David was referring to her photo, not the content of her tweets.

    Rick, Andrew –

Yes, I was referring to the publicly available photo – the twitter stream was private when I “researched” the item.
