3M is asking a judge to dismiss one of the largest environmental lawsuits in Minnesota history, the Pioneer Press reports. The lawsuit, filed by four residents of Washington County, claims a 3M chemical has harmed them physically, emotionally and financially. PFCs were used in making such products as Scotchgard. They were legally dumped into landfills and since have turned up in drinking water for much of the county.
