Synovis Life Technologies is wrapping up a “very successful year,” says CEO Richard Kramp, and the medical device company plans to start 2009 by hiring as many as 15 sales reps.
The St. Paul-based company, which employs about 390 people, reported today that net revenue for fiscal 2008 grew 32 percent to $49.8 million — up from $37.7 million during the previous year.
Kramp credited some of the success to Synovis’ 43 direct U.S. sales people. Because of their productivity, he said the company will expand its sales staff in 2009, hiring at least seven in the first quarter.
“We firmly believe in the value of our products and underlying technology, and believe our current markets are very attractive,” Kramp said.
