Target didn’t get the Black Friday bump it was hoping for. The company had forecast November same-store sales would be down 6 to 9 percent, compared with the previous year. Instead, same-store fell 10.4 percent last month. CEO Gregg Steinhafel said post-Thanksgiving sales were stronger than — but not enough to offset — the rest of the month. Thanksgiving also fell seven days later than last year, which shortened the number of holiday shopping days during the month.
