The Wall Street Journal’s Middle-Seat Terminal blog wonders whether a new DOT report points to merger-related complications at Delta Air Lines.

Delta was the worst major carrier in on-time performance in November. It also was worst among the majors in the number of complaints.

Delta was one of only two airlines with more complaints in November 2008 than in November 2007. A Delta spokeswoman blamed rain and air-traffic control issues.

Meanwhile, Northwest’s on-time numbers were third-best.
