One-hundred hour work weeks won’t lead to success, George says. Sustainability is a key to success, he said. Overworked managers and employees will burn-out and eventually the organization will collapse without balance.

At Medtronic, George managed stress by maintaining a balance, he says. He meditated 20 minutes twice a day. He coached youth soccer, and counted on the support of a great staff around him, he says.
