3M has cut another 1,200 jobs, including several hundred in Minnesota, the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press report.

More than half of the job cuts came from outside the United States (places like France?). In Minnesota, the cuts included 300 jobs in 3M’s industrial and transporation division.

A spokeswoman told the newspapers that the company is making adjustments based on the economy. The recession had already prompted 3M to eliminate 2,400 jobs in January.
