SuperValu announced the retirement of two key executives today and said it will be restructuring the company’s retail operations.
COO Mike Jackson and Midwest retail Vice President Kevin Tripp, both 55, will leave the company on Aug. 15, the company said.
Meanwhile, the grocer will combine its three retail regions into one division, led by Pete Van Helden, who will become vice president for retail operations with the changes.
SuperValu is also creating a new health and wellness division, it said. The goal will be to better align the company’s pharmacy operations with its health and beauty offerings.
