Best Buy among latest to pull ads from Fox News show

Add Best Buy to the list of companies that has reportedly pulled its advertising from Fox News’ “Glenn Beck Program” after its host accused President Obama of being a racist.

ColorOfChange.org, the nation’s largest African-American online political organization, has been pressuring companies to stop advertising during the program.

A press release from the website this week says Best Buy has joined CVS, Wal-Mart and Travelocity in the latest wave to pull the plug. A Fox News spokesperson tells the New York Times that the advertising has been shifted to other time slots.

CEPro, a trade publication for electronics business professionals, notes that Best Buy and Wal-Mart have been sparring with each other lately, but they apparently agree on one thing: “Glenn Beck is an idiot.”

    If the marketplace dominates as FoxNews contends, then Best Buy did the right thing. Money talks, and well…..you know the rest. Best Buy indeed put its money where its mouth is and now Beck is in a tough spot.
