TheStreet.com has a story about how “stodgy, behemoth banks,” including Wells Fargo, are using Twitter.
Wells Fargo has used its @ask_WellsFargo handle since March to respond to comments and complaints, but the company has no current plans to tweet sales pitches.
One of the bank’s social media gurus, Matt Wadley, calls Twitter the “social network du jour.”
“I don’t think that we can really speak to the future plans,” he says. “It’s just becoming such a part of everything, who knows where it will be used best down the road. But right now it’s just about being there for our customer.”
