Medtronic is alerting doctors about a potential battery issue with one of its implantable defibrillators, but said there is no safety concern for patients, Dow Jones Newswire reports.

The company says about 6,300 of its Concerto cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillators contain batteries that may prematurely deplete but not without warning.

One analyst tells the news service that the issue, while small in scope, still could hurt Medtronic’s heart-rhythm business because it follows other recalls in May and two years ago.
