General Mills partners on new cereal innovation center

A joint venture between General Mills and Nestle is creating a new cereal innovation center in Switzerland.

Cereal Partners Worldwide, the joint venture, will use the center to accelerate both companies’ development of “innovative and nutritious breakfast cereals.”

Food scientists at the center will search for ways to improve the taste, texture and freshness of cereals, as well as ways to improve the nutritional content.

The building that will house the center is being constructed with a goal of LEED certification.
