Target to donate $1.25M to Salvation Army: Target Corp. announced today it is donating more than $1.25 million in cash and in-kind gifts to the Salvation Army this holiday season. As part of its contribution, Minneapolis-based Target has collaborated on a holiday promotion with Hasbro. See full story

ATS gets European OK for heart valve: ATS Medical has received European Union approval to distribute the ATS 3f Enable Aortic Biosprosthesis, the company announced today. ATS said the Enable is designed to achieve faster, less-invasive aortic valve replacement procedures. See full story

3M forms unit for mobile-device displays: 3M Co. today announced it has formed a new division that will focus on display-capable mobile electronic devices. The new division will focus on 3M’s line of mobile projectors, interactive super-close projection solutions, image-enhancing projection screens, privacy and protection films, device personalization options and premium accessories, such as 3M’s wireless presenter. Local clothing designer opens shop at Galleria: Designer Jason Hammerberg has opened a men’s shirt shop at Galleria in Edina. Hammer Made, which opened on Nov. 27, sells button-down shirts in a variety of styles, including solids, stripes, paisley and florals, made from European fabrics. See full story

 Twins name executive chef for Target Field: Pastor Jimenez will serve as the executive chef at Target Field, the Minnesota Twins and Delaware announced today. Jimenez, a native of Mexico, has 23 years of experience as an executive chef at other sports venues and fine-dining restaurants, most recently at Miller Park in Milwaukee. He also has served as the executive chef at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Soldier Field. See full story
