Southwest Airlines adds MSP to St. Louis flights: Southwest Airlines has unveiled its summer travel schedule, adding an additional flight from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to St. Louis. Southwest’s full schedule for the period between May 9 and Aug. 13 adds 65 round-trip flights and eliminates 24 round-trip flights. Read full story

General Mills 2Q profits up 50 percent: Recession-weary consumers appear to be turning to Cheerios and Hamburger Helper, boosting General Mills’ sales, and its profits, in the second quarter. It reported second-quarter profits of $565.5 million. Read full story

Johnson to leave St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce: Kristofer Johnson, president of the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, plans to leave at the end of January. He said the chamber recently finished a strategic planning process, so the timing to step down was right. The chamber’s board of directors has launched a search process to find a replacement. Compensation up 4% for Hormel’s Ettinger: Jeffrey Ettinger, chairman, president and CEO of Hormel Foods, received $7.34 million in total compensation in 2009, up 4 percent from 2008. Ettinger, 51, has been chairman, president and CEO since 2006. Read full story
