Vikings 12th in prime-time viewership: The Minnesota Vikings rank 12th in prime-time TV viewership, according to Nielsen Sports data. Since 2006, the Vikings have drawn an average of 14 million viewers for regular-season Sunday night or Monday night games. The Vikings have played in eight such games during that time period. The Dallas Cowboys led the NFL in viewership with 19 million viewers for the 16 prime time games they’ve played since 2006. Read full story

‘Cyber Monday’ online sales up 13.7% from 2008: Online retail sales nationwide were up 13.7 percent on “Cyber Monday” from 2008, online marketing consultant s Coremetrics reported today. Consumers spent an average of $180.03 online Monday, up 38.2 percent from 2008, with apparel retailers leading the way. Cyber Monday — the Monday after Thanksgiving — is considered among the busiest periods of the year for online shopping, the Internet equivalent of Black Friday for brick-and-mortar stores. Union protests US Airways-Delta slot swap: The union representing US Airways pilots has asked the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate a slot and facilities swap between US Airways and Delta Air Lines for possible violations of anti-trust laws. In a letter, it said the deal between Delta and US Airways to swap takeoff and landing slots, gates and facilities at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport and Washington National Airport in the nation’s capital could be anti-competitive. Mosaic sells Thailand business: The Mosaic Co. sold its Thailand distribution business, the company announced today. Mosaic, based in Plymouth, sold the business to ICP Fertilizer Co., based in Bangkok. Read full story
