Sanger, Austin win Woodrow Wilson awards: William Austin, CEO of Starkey Laboratories Inc., and Stephen Sanger, former CEO of General Mills Inc., will receive awards from the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Austin will receive the Award for Corporate Citizenship and Sanger will get the Award for Public Service. The two men will receive their awards tonight at a dinner in Minneapolis. Read full story

Children’s opens neonatal ICU in Minneapolis: Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota opened a new neonatal intensive care unit at its Minneapolis campus today. The  25,000-square-foot unit includes private patient rooms with enhanced features such as parent sleeping areas, dimming lights, sliding glass doors and soundproof ceilings. Read full story

Toro announces 20% dividend increase: The Toro Co. will increase its quarterly dividend to 18 cents from 15 cents, the company announced today. Toro, based in Bloomington, said the dividend is payable on Jan. 12 to shareholders of record on Dec. 18. Read full story

Medtronic names Coyle head of cardiology: Medtronic Inc. has named Michael Coyle to head up its cardiology business, the company announced today. Medtronic, based in Fridley, said Coyle will be group president of the business segment, which includes the cardiac rhythm disease management, cardiovascular and physio-control businesses.
