Minnesota’s Fortune 500 list grows; UnitedHealth, Target, Best Buy lead list in state: Minnesota has 21 companies ranked in this year’s Fortune 500 list, two more than it has had the last two years. The number of Fortune 500 companies in a state is often used as a bragging and recruiting tool for economic development officials. Minnesota now has the seventh-most Fortune 500s in the nation, trailing California (57), Texas (57), New York (56), Illinois (31), Pennsylvania (25), and Ohio (23). Read full story
