Buffalo Wild Wings expanding to Canada: Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. announced Wednesday it will open its first two Canadian locations next spring as part of a broader push into the country. Target sales miss bull’s-eye in Q2: Target Corp.’s second-quarter net income rose 14.3 percent, the retailer said Wednesday, but shares slid slightly as same-store sales growth remained sluggish. Net income was $679 million, or 92 cents per share, in line with analyst estimates. For the same period last year, the Minneapolis-based company’s net income was $594 million. Read full story

Minneapolis-St. Paul metro ranked tops for med-tech: The Twin Cities has landed at the top of a newly released ranking of United States metro areas for developing and manufacturing medical devices and equipment. The Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area beat out New Haven-Milford, Conn., and Salt Lake City for the top spot in the ranking, published in Business Facilities magazine’s July/August 2010 issue.
