UnitedHealthcare is tops in Wisconsin: UnitedHealth Group’s UnitedHealthcare subsidiary continues to lead Wisconsin in its share of policies sold for accident and health insurance in the state. Minnetonka-based UnitedHealthcare sold $1.1 billion of health and accident insurance in the state during 2009, accounting for 11.2 percent of the market share, according to a new report from the Wisconsin Office of Commissioner of Insurance. General Mills to invest $100 million in Tennessee plant, add 80 jobs: General Mills today announced it is investing $100 million to expand its Murfreesboro, Tenn., yogurt-production facility. The expansion is expected to bring about 80 additional jobs to the plant, which manufactures products for Golden Valley-based General Mills’ Yoplait brand. General Mills already has about 850 employees in the Nashville area. Read full story

Petters companies plead guilty: Two of Tom Petters’ companies pleaded guilty to three federal fraud and conspiracy counts this morning. Petters Co. Inc. and Petters Group Worldwide entered guilty pleas to aiding and abetting wire fraud, money-laundering conspiracy and conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud. U.S. District Judge Richard Kyle accepted the pleas and ordered only that the two companies pay a combined $2,400 in court fees pursuant to an agreement among the companies, creditors and prosecutors to maximize funds available for victims.
