Target October same-store sales up 1.7%, Comcast launches 4G mobile Internet service in Twin Cities, and Cadillac Ranch to open Nov. 11 at Mall of America.

Target October same-store sales up 1.7%: Target Corp.’s same-store sales increased 1.7 percent in October, near the low end of its expectations. Minneapolis-based Target’s total sales for October were $4.64 billion, an increase of 2.2 percent from $4.54 billion from the same four-week period last year. “October sales were near the low end of our expectations, primarily due to softness in the first two weeks of the month,” said Gregg Steinhafel, chairman, president and CEO of Target. Comcast launches 4G mobile Internet service in Twin Cities:
Comcast has launched its mobile broadband service in the Twin Cities market, the company announced today. The service, called Xfinity Internet 2go, lets consumers access the Internet via a wireless data card. Comcast will provide fourth-generation, or 4G, service in metro areas where it’s available, and 3G service nationwide. Read full story

Cadillac Ranch to open Nov. 11 at Mall of America: Cadillac Ranch All American Bar & Grill will open at the Mall of America Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. The new 11,000-square-foot restaurant will offer classic American fare, two full bars and even a mechanical bull. Cadillac Ranch is on the Bloomington megamall’s third floor, next to Macy’s and across the hall from Crave, filling space previously occupied by a Ragstock clothing store. Read full story
