Delta flight attendants vote no to union: Delta Air Lines’ 20,000 flight attendants today voted against joining a union for the third time in recent history. Atlanta-based Delta and Northwest flight attendants began voting Sept. 29 on union representation through the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. The National Mediation Board announced that the majority of votes cast were for “no representative.” The union said it will file a series of objections following the vote count, including “serious charges of interference” against Delta. ATK’s Anoka plant will fill FBI’s $95 million ammo order: Alliant Techsystems’ Anoka plant will fulfill a $95 million ammunition order for the FBI, the company said today. Production of the 5.56-caliber ammunition is under way, the Eden Prairie-based munitions manufacturer said in a news release. ATK will begin delivering the ammo by the end of the year under the five-year contract, which is capped at $95 million. Read full story

U.K.-based ad firm, Naked, opens Minneapolis office: Naked Communications announced today the opening of a Minneapolis office, the first U.S. expansion for the U.K.-based advertising firm since it opened New York offices in 2006. Lisa Seward Perry and Amy Sheil, who have joined the firm as partners, will head the new office. Read full story
