Bill Clinton sends fundraising pitch for Tarryl Clark

WASHINGTON — A week after fundraising for her in person, Bill Clinton has penned a fundraising solicitation letter for 6th District Democratic challenger Tarryl Clark.

Wrote Clinton:

“Tarryl is running against Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District. The people of the 6th District deserve a leader who will deliver results instead of divisive partisan rhetoric; who will roll up her sleeves and get to work on the critical issues instead of just getting people wound up about them.”

The solicitation comes almost one week after Clinton flew to Minneapolis for a private fundraiser for Clark, where he called the Tea Party movement a “corporate front” and said Bachmann  is “the ultimate example of putting ideology over evidence.”

Bachmann leads Clark by nine points with just five percent undecided, according to a KSTP/SurveyUSA poll released last week, though she remains below 50 percent overall.
