Va. governor’s spokeswoman to run Paulsen’s D.C. office

Virginia governor’s spokeswoman, Stacey Johnson, to run Erik Paulsen’s Washington office.

WASHINGTON — Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s spokeswoman, Stacey Johnson will be coming back into Rep. Erik Paulsen’s service as his number two staffer, running his Washington office, Paulsen’s office confirmed.

Johnson worked as Paulsen’s communications director during his first run for Congress in 2008, and for Rep. Eric Cantor (now the House Majority leader) before that.

Johnson will come on as Paulsen’s deputy chief of staff. According to the Richmond Times Dispatch, which first reported the move, her last day with McDonnell is Jan. 14.
