Freshmen fuel increase in Bachmann’s Tea Party Caucus membership

WASHINGTON — The House Tea Party Caucus will start the 112th session with 49 members, all Republicans, according to a roster obtained by MinnPost.

As with last session, Reps. John Kline and Erik Paulsen aren’t on the list, and neither is freshman Chip Cravaack. However, the number represents a sizable increase from the caucus’ formation in July, when they started with 28

Much of that, as the roster proves, is due to the election of freshmen Republicans who ran under the Tea Party banner, though to be sure not all of them have signed on. A companion caucus in the Senate has four members.

Now that we all know that one of the Tea Party’s main goals is to destroy the working man and woman as evidenced in Wisconsin, it will be interesting to see who is still ignorant enough to buy into the Tea Party.
