Senate easily passes two-week funding resolution

WASHINGTON — Postscript to this morning’s report:

The Senate, as expected, easily cleared the two-week budget extension on a vote of 91-9, with Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken joining the majority in voting yes. The opposition was bipartisan, four Democrats and five Republicans.

This new government funding expires on Friday, March 18.
