WASHINGTON — Casey Aden-Wansbury will replace Drew Littman as Sen. Al Franken’s chief of staff, his office announced Wednesday.
Littman has been Franken’s chief of staff since he was sworn into office in July 2009. Aden-Wansbury currently serves as the office’s communications director.
“Because of her sound judgment, the press corps and the people of Minnesota have come to know me as a senator focused on working to improve the lives of my constituents and all Americans,” Franken said in a statement. “I know we will be in good hands with Casey leading my team forward.”
Aden-Wansbury has been Franken’s communications director since he was sworn in. Before that, she worked for the Children’s Defense Fund and held communications positions in Sen. Joe Lieberman’s office and with the Democratic National Committee during the 2000 election.
There is no word on Littman’s future plans.
