Karl Bremer, a devoted tracker of Rep. Michele Bachmann, notes in his blog that although Bachmann’s told one reporter that she wouldn’t comment on the situation in Egypt because she was concentrating on “district work,” the congresswoman nonetheless found time to appear at luncheon today in Honolulu.

p.s. Bachmann will also be in Montana this weekend to help republican U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg announce his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in 2012, challenging Dem incumbent Jon Tester Republican.

  1. Maybe she thinks the best thing she can do for her district is to stay away.

  2. Has she missed any votes? Because if not, it shouldn’t matter what she does with her free time.

  3. I think that you’re missing the point Dennis. If Bachmann is claiming that she’s too busy to even make a simple comment on the Egypt situation due to “district work”, then why isn’t she in DC or CD6 meeting with her constituents. Instead she’s in Hawai’i and Montana raising money for others – don’t see how that creates any jobs for St. Cloud.

  4. She makes no comment on Egypt, and she is attacked. If she made a comment on Egypt, she would have been attacked for meddling in state Dept and International Affairs. She is playing this one correctly.
