It was a closed meeting in the White House between Pres. Obama and House Repubs. But some who were present told the L.A. Times that House Budget Chair Paul Ryan accused Obama of inaccurately describing how his famous budget plan would really change Medicare. Ryan challenged Obama to stop demagoguing the issue. Ryan’s Repub colleagues gave him a standing ovation.

Replied Obama (according to the Times’ sources):

“I’m the death-panel-supporting, socialist, may-not-have-been-born-here president.”
