Trump HQ wants to know: Was Oval Office speech ‘historic’ or just great/good/other?

Trumpland really, really wants to know what America thought about their guy’s Oval Office address to, how shall one say, search for common ground on whether to build a wall/barrier/curtain on a small portion of the Mexico-U.S. border. So they created a highly scientific poll and circulated it online to a random sample consisting of the membership of the “Trump Make America Great Again Committee.”

The “poll” had only one question:

“How would you rate the President’s Address?”

But it offered four possible responses (check one):

Historic

Great

Good

Other, please specify.

P.S. This is not a joke.

Well… it’s apparently not **intended** to be a joke, but…

Poll = trolling for suckers (errr, donors)

About 6 million spent on legal fees for Individual 1 and associates from the re-election pot-o-cash.

Is there a category for “pathetic”? And by ‘pathetic’, I mean “miserably inadequate”. Annoying also comes to mind . . .

Doesn’t every campaign send put stuff like this? Am I missing something?

Yes and yes. A survey like this is meant to gin up enthusiasm from the true believers. The logic appears to be that people will be more inclined to give money if it look like their opinion is being solicited. For the most part, campaigns pay no further attention to the results of the survey. They certainly would not release them for public consumption.

The part you’re missing, and the part that takes this survey outside the realm of similar appeals used by virtually every candidate, is that it is being conducted by the campaign of a man whose ignorance is rivaled in scope only by his vanity. Of course the respondents are going to give him high marks–that’s what people who reply to these surveys do. Individual-1, however, will take the results as proof that his popularity is at an all-time high for any President. Polls to the contrary being, of course, fake news, he will choose to see the adulation of his followers as indicative of what Americans are really thinking.

I’m not a Hillary fan, but she had it right – deplorable. Individual 1’s Speech presentation is deplorable, and that is being generous.

It might be historic as in the most lie-filled and hateful speech ever delivered in the Oval Office. Also it is unique to deliver bkack mail demands on three major networks. The only kind of coverage that compares is the OJ car chase.

Seeing his latest press meeting about Putin and Russia, the committee is probably hard at work coming up with another poll. Their possible answers:

    No Collusion!

Tougher on Russia than any other President!

    Insulted This Question Was Asked

    Big, Fat Hoax!

Of course, he’s lying about a ruthless dictator who’s trying to weaken our country; but, you know what? It’s worth it if I get a tax break and he gets to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

    Cadet Bone Spurs strikes again!

The whole disastrous two years of the trump “presidency” has been pathetic. It might have been hilarious as a TV sit-com, but this awful American tragedy is breath-taking in its mendacity, corruption, divisiveness and incompetence.

My “other” response is that I did not watch it. I’m allergic to that color orange.
I wish there was an app to smudge out his face on all images.
